We're still here...

...and just incase you don't believe me, here are some pictures of some of the things we've been up to.

Bethany doing some photography

This was taken a few weeks ago when the gas got a little cheaper.

Someone had fun making Tessy look like a skunk one day!

Making some fun fall decorations

Some also found it fun to draw on the carpet before we tore it up.

Alyssa and I trying out our Norwex products to see if it really would take it up. We got it up most of the way and if we had done it again, I think it would have taken it up all the way (mind you this was permanent marker).

Almost finished...

 ...and done!

We also had some relatives visit!

A Faithful Dog for 13 Years

Lazy died yesterday afternoon at a ripe old age of 15+ years. We didn't know his exact age since he was a stray dog, but we have had him for the past 13 years and the vet estimated he was 2-3 years old when he arrived here.  As I said, he was a stray. We first saw him out the window laying under a some farm equipment, but then he had wandered off... so we thought. Later that day, we were all outside after dinner, and some of us girls were playing with a ball near the house while Andrew was in the stroller, when the ball we were playing with accidentally rolled under the porch. I was going to retrieve the ball, but when I looked under the porch, this dog came running out at me. My sisters and I ran screaming to Mom who was in the garden... forgetting about Andrew who was still sitting there in the stroller. Fortunately, Lazy followed us and didn't bother him. He turned out to be a nice dog, so when we turned him over to Animal Control we said that if nobody claimed him, we would adopt him. No one claimed him, so that is how he came to be our dog.
